Happy E-bike winner of the Verder Open Day
A father of two got lucky with the help of his 10-year-old daughter
Erwin, winner of the stunning Verder Enabling Progress E-bike, received the keys from Wim Boers, Director of KNF Verder b.v.. Erwin won the bike, with a little help from his daughter Noor, by giving the correct answer to our price question; How much does that big green pump weigh that can be seen in the background of the photos? Their answers added together turned out to be exactly the right number of kilos. What a wonderful collaboration!
That father and daughter came to the Verder Open Day was pure coincidence. They happened to cycle past our office in Vleuten that day in October. Noor, age 10, was curious about all the technical activities outside and really wanted to take a look inside. Erwin felt this was a bright idea, after all a smart girl is well prepared for her future. Once inside, they were deeply impressed. Father Erwin: "I really liked the fact that an employee gave us an extensive tour, which was interesting for both me and Noor. Among other things, we were able to test the suction power of a pump ourselves. Very impressive to see it all".
At the end of the tour, they entered the contest at random. As neither of them had any idea how much such a pump weighs, they added up their guesses. Successfully, because this allowed them to pick up the beautiful Verder Enabling Progress E-bike. 13-year-old son Kars is absolutely delighted because he gets to cycle to school on the new E-bike. That will surely enable him to go a lot faster than the 30 minutes it normally takes him from today on.
